hi - I've been struggling on savings and small amounts of benefit for months and now solicitor told me he cant make exp pay any support - he suggested a 'voluntary agreement' but as my ex's response to me asking for money has been to tell me to sod off, i doubt this is workable - plus he owes me since marrch for a number of dc's. (more tghan 2) Would I get arrears on a csa system, and could I get more via voluntary? my exp is a well paid professional (and smug git) while I am unable to work and skint...any thoughts, experiences etc really appreciated (have appt with citzens advice to see if I can get anything else from anywhere - my income is so low I laugh hysterically whenever I see it writted down)- .

You don't get arrears on a CSA system, only from when you apply, sorry. Don't go for a voluntary agreement, it sounds like he won't pay. Go to the CSA and ask what your options are. They're pretty good at explaining everything without pressurising you to 'tell' on him. Good luck.
