hi everyone could anybody shed some light on this for me pls..my annual review for year ended 05/04/2012 says..we will decide on the 31/7/2012 that:the final amount of your tax credits award for the period 02/12/2011 to 05/04/2012 is 2829.96 and your tax credit award for the period 2012-2013 will be shown in the payments section??? does this eman they owe me this? also on the letter it says we wil finalise your 2011-2012 award as shown on page 1 and your 2012-2013 are shown on the payments section??? and where it shows the payments for the years 2012-2013 it says am entitled to 8617.65 minus the 617.87 already paid to me so they still have to pay 7959.78 for the next year..so they cant have paid me from april till now ith that 200 odd cos ive been paid with the 2012 2013 budget? am so confused any help would be appreciated..also i made my first cliam the date stated 02/12/2012 thankyou x

No your last sentence threw me as that's when you said you'd claimed. But I was very tired at that time. Grin the best thing you can do is ring them because it seems a bit confusing (have worked for HMRC in the past but nothing to do with tax credits).

Actually, looking again the figure you're due for 12/13 (can't double check cos on phone) will be from April 12 to April 13. The final figures aren't done until later (June July time) because that's usually when final income figures for the previous year are known. So the 'minus some hundred and odd' figure you have is what you've received from April this year. Hope this is clear.
