Have you checked your readings with them to make sure it's accurate? You can make payment in instalments with them.
Probably best to pay monthly so you don't get a big bill in future.

I have give them a reading and I have been paying monthly. It would appear just not enough. I knew I had some arrears back in Feb but after paying £450 since then they're now saying I owe even more..... I've been away on hol for 2 weeks and not used heating as much when the weathers been nice and yet they're saying i used £450+ ib the last 3months.

If you are on monthly payments then they should adjust your payments to incorporate the shortfall. Ours is always behind after winter

Check your last few bills and the reading you gave them against the reading on your meter. There's always a chance they've registered one of the numbers wrong.

Has your tariff changed recently? When NPower deals expire they automatically put customers onto their standard tariff which is vastly more expensive. They gamble on people not querying it. Make sure you're on the cheapest tariff.

If the readings are correct, you're on the cheapest tariff and you're going to struggle to pay Npower have a Debt Management option you could try.

Good luck

Thanx every1. Spoke to a v.nice lady this morn who sorted it all out for and whilst I still owe quite a bit, not quite as bad as I thought.

I'd still check. We got a massive £1000+ bill. It turned out our meter was broken. They said there was no way to get an acturate reading so the bill would stand untill citizens advice got involved.
