Missold PPI Question

Hi, I'm thinking of putting in a claim (myself not through an agency) but had a couple of queries. I was sold mortgage protection with lutine assurance 9 years ago and have been paying a few pounds a month ever since. The mortgage broker told me I needed this and couldn't get a mortgage without it.

Do I have a claim, if so do I claim from Lutine or from the broker?

TIA!

Term assurance covering the balance of your mortgage in the event of death, sickness and unemployment is quite normal and above board. Most lenders insist on life cover at least. However, if you were told that you had no choice but to take it out with a particular insurance company (rather than shopping around and finding your own) then you could easily have a claim.

The Moneysavingexpert PPI Reclaim Guide is very good.

Anyone else receiving dozens of PPI claim spam emails every day? My inbox is loaded!

No, but I've had a few bastard con-artists agencies call me who 'according to their records' tell me I can claim back thousands. As I've never had PPI in my life, I tell them shove their records....

i get the text messages saying according to our records ... but would never use an agency as it's q simple to do yourself.
