Am trying to work out how much Xp would have to pay if he was working and privatly renting.

Is there anything I can look at that would give me an idea ??

He will be paying for 3 kids, earning approx £950 a month and paying no more than £450 a month rent.

Would really appreicate some help with this as I am trying to persuade him to go back to work which would greatly speed up him moving out.
At the mo he is saying there is no point if he won't be able to afford to live.

Hi Nutty, think it is 15%, or 20% if more than one.

All very well him saying he won't be able to afford to live, but will you?

Is he prepared to look after the children ND let you go to work?

25% of his wages...so thats..er?? No idea, but thats what it would be.

got that from here

Thanks, have just been on the online calculator and it said £32 a week.

I think the thing thats bothering him is if he takes on a private rented flat and then he struggles with the rent.

To be perfectly honest I really don't care if he pays or not, I just want it all sorted and out the way. I am not taking into account any monies I may get from him or the CSA when working out my own money so anything I do get would just be a nice bonus.

At the moment if I can't persuade him to go back to work then he will be here forever.

I put that they would stay with him 3 nights a week when in reality it would be 1 night and a few times for tea in the week.

Thats they are with him for so many hours...cant remeber how many it is but if he had them for X amount of hours he then pays you less CSA and so Tax Credits/Income Support would also as he would have nearly 50/50 care of them...look into it!

Look at the exception bit on the CSA website

The main exceptions are
Multiple cases
Differing amounts of shared care for different children
Care of a child shared more evenly between the parents
Cases where the non-resident parent receives a benefit
Cases where the non-resident parent?s net income is more than £2000 a week
