I am very confused by tax credits, my dh works full time and earns around 23000 with overtime, I am currently self employed and earn around 1000 - 2000 which keeps us under the 26000 threshhold, so get tax credits, i want to go out to work and amlooking to earn around 10,000 which will take us up to around 33000 including overtime, now am i right in thinking that i will then not recieve any help at all with childcare I will have to put him down for full time term time only care(i have a 2 yo) and no tax credits??
Sorry i am rubbish at this sort of thing

Turn2Us Benefits Checker. If you go to this link and put in both situations then you'll see what the relative results are. Generally speaking, the more you can earn the better even if it means you lose out short-term on tax credits.
