what is calculated as income.

I get dla, Cb and ctc.

I get csa and a court order from exh. The co is for help with a mortgage until the dc leave home.

I was told to get work, the judge seemed to think it would be easy and was convinced with wtc I would be ok. I am finding it difficult to find a job with the disability etc. I am struggling financially and not using dla to help with disability issues use it to live.

Can I claim benefits?

Maintenance is not counted as income and neither is DLA when calculating Tax Credits. Income is generally anything that is taxed.... income from interest on savings, a paid job, rent on property etc. You may benefit from running your details through the Turn2Us Benefits Checker. It will ask you both about DLA and maintenance but it should also say 'these amounts are not taken into account' or something like that.

It is unclear if it is all maintenance or child maintenance. I get help from exh towards mortgage payments. I want to be clear.

I also tried for esa, I didn't get enough points. I am worried about jsa, as I have a disability and I am fearfull they will find me a job and insist I can do it when I can't iyswim?

Can someone help you appeal the ESA?> I know someone who used a local advocacy charity to help. Also how old are the kids? under sevens you are excused from work anyway
