How would I go about this? I'm with nationwide, on benefits and constantly struggling as it is without these bloody charges. I'm not sure if I can appeal them of write a letter or something. Is anyone able to help please?

You can talk or write to your bank, explain your circumstances and ask for a refund. This link could be useful. Money saving expert: Reclaiming bank charges If the real problem is that you are constantly going into debt because your income is too low then do consider talking to one of the free debt advisory services. CAB, CCCS, and National Debtline could be able to help

I had a problem and contacted (via email) the head of Lloyds. Her assistant phoned me within five minutes and immediately arranged for the charges for the few months to be reimbursed. He said it was shocking that I'd been charged.

I know you're with Nationwide. The person you should write to is Graham Beale: [email protected]

I got that address from the same document I got the Lloyds' address.

Best of luck. If you want to see my email, PM me.

Thank you. I worked out yesterday that since 2008 I've been charged £1001.68 Blush
I've written a letter to their head office but I'm not holding out much hope.

I've emailed the address you gave me IB and they're getting back to me within 3 working days.
Fingers crossed!
