Childcare vouchers or Tax Credits?

I have just become a single mother of 2 and work 16 hours a week. My childcare costs will be £96 a month.

My employer runs the voucher scheme. Will I get all £96 paid for? Would it be easier to go through tax credits. I get working tax credit and I thought they help with child care because of that??

Thanks.

in general - depending on your income you will be better claiming the childcare element of the working tax credit and not the vouchers

Go to money saving expert where there is a tax credits calculator. It will show you what you are entitled to with the childcare. Will also show you if you are entitled to other benefits like free school meals, council tax benefit etc.
You will possibly receive 70% of your childcare costs through the tax credits, sorry but don't really know how the voucher scheme works :)

Thanks, 70% sounds good. I will go on money saving expert and have a look.
