Credit Card PPI Payments Claiming Back

I have had a credit card for a few years and was sold the PPI. I have sent the company a form about claiming the money back. They have made me an offer, but after looking at recent statements I know it doesn't cover what I actually paid.

I have asked them to send me the statements going back 6 years so that I can work it out properly.

Is it worth going after them for more? Some friends have told me to take the money offered as it could end up going to court etc..... and costing more money.

Has anyone else done this? Was it successful?

Thanks.

I think you should give it a try. Companies affected do not seem to be quibbling with customers or taking it to court - there are just too many cases for that to be practical. Then again, most don't appear to be penny-pinching either. If you can show you've paid more than they're offering in compensation, make a claim for that amount. What have you got to lose?

Hi, can I just ask something about this please?
If I've had a Barclaycard for years and always paid it off each month but also pay the ppi, can I claim it back?
What do I do, cancel the ppi going forward then put a claim in?
How do they prove they didn't mis-sell it to you in the first place?
thank you x

DON'T CANCEL IT!!!!! Go to moneysavingexpert.com and there it tells you what to do and you can download a form to complete and send it with the letter (there are example ones on the website). I think if you cancel it you might not be able to claim it back.....

Keep a copy of the form and wait and see what they say. I think they are offering money back without proving the mis-selling. But if you don't take the offer they will investigate and you might end up with nothing. (That's what I have heard, but check it out to be sure!)

Good luck :)
