Does anyone know of any new boiler schemes or easy payment options ?

Our boiler is on it's last legs and roughly over twenty years old. we both work and have a good income and no benefits. However with 4 x dc I never have much ESP at this time of year in the way of savings. We can't buy a boiler from a high street and pay over say 2 years just yet and I have a default on my credit file and would be turned down.
Just wondered if there was any sort scheme or place we could buy a boiler from that would allow us to pay over say a year ? it's getting fairly desperate so ought to start a boiler fund anyway if I can but just thought I,d ask on here as well. TIA x

What kind of price do you think a new boiler would cost?

British Gas had a scheme, but no idea if having the default would get you turned down (suspect it would).

I've just had a new boiler - to replace my broken 4 year old piece of shit boiler. Paid £656 for boiler from tdlonline.co.uk and £200 for fitting.

It depends what you are after. Mine was a straight forward boiler swap, no moving pipes or anything. Was about 7-8 hours work for 2 guys. The guy who did it was in his first year of business, and didn't have to charge VAT. In fact, I've highly recommended him to several people.

I had 4 quotes, and total price ranged from £856 to £1650!! Pays to shop around! My new boiler is fantastic, the difference is really noticable!
