WTF? I just got a tax rebate from 2006/7...

Not complaining because the unexpected extra will go a long way towards paying for Christmas, but seriously, nearly five years? Is that normal?

I didn't check at the time (took voluntary redundancy package after maternity leave) but have checked their calculations and they are right. I did overpay tax that year.

I had a few years worth of them earlier in the Autumn.

What really bugs me is that I bloody knew I was paying too much tax at the time and they swore blind it was correct. Glad I got it back but wish I hadn't paid it in the first place!

Ooh, I had maternity leave in 2007 and was then helpfully made redundant at the end of 2007. I wonder if I will get a rebate?
