Is it possible to bring charges against someone when it all happened many years ago? I feel this is contributing to my battle with depression and am looking for some closure.

Bonchance - Yes, don't see why not. Really sorry you were abused.

How would I go about trying to resolve this?

DO you know where the person is just now?

I would think speaking to police would be the most direct approach, but perhaps better to talk to Womans Aid.... or another helpline to get proper advice and to prepare you for what will happen once you report it to the police.

It is NEVER too late

I know roughly where they are. Thanks I'll try to get in touch with women's aid.

Bonchance - Good luck! I really hope you get the closure you need.
Everyone at MN will support you through it if you need it.

the police I thnk would be the first stop as there is no time limit on when a prosecution can be brought. womens aid probably good for taliking the issues through but Im not sure if they would be able to do much because if you ahve been "counselled" there is the chance that it could affect the viability of a prosecution if this is what you are seeking.
