How soon do new accounts go onto your credit score?

Not sure I wrote that in a way that makes sense!! I've been told in the ast that t sometimes helps lenders make a decision if they can see that you have been given credit by other lenders and the amount you have been given...is that true? Also, if I opened two new accounts in the last couple of days will they go directly onto my credit report or is it not until the first payment?

All lenders have different criteria afaik. So you can't really guess whether or not they'll award you credit. You can get a copy of your own credit report from Experian though, that will help as you will see what any prospective lender would see about you. I think the thing you were told in the past was prob that if you have never had any credit of any kind then you might find it difficult to get some, which is prob true to an extent.

if you have opened credit card accounts then it is more lidklkey to go agains t you because companies will think you are overstretching yourself
