Has Banking Crisis Changed Your Attitude To Banks?

There's a lot of "bank-phobia" on MN and elsewhere post banking crisis. Lots of people say they no longer trust banks and are quite angry with bonus payments etc. But we still use them so is it all just hot air? Has anything really changed?

My attitude to banks is 'that's where you keep your money'.

It's better/safer than under the bed, and easier to move around (I love internet banking).

Can't stop the banks. Well not unless we all stop borrowing money.

Before the crisis I was shocked at the level of pay and bonus people in the industry can get. And now after it I'm shocked they still get it and that we can't get out money back while they still pay out huge bonuses. Or should I say I'm resigned to the fact that nothing will change...

But do you still have a bank account? Have you changed bank account because you think one organisation has behaved more honourably than others? In other instances of consumer dissatisfaction we vote with our feet.

I have banked ethically for last 8 years. Co-op bank.

I get really annoyed by the thought of the bonuses and also that they are not being forced to pay back the bail out.

My bank gets no money from me. I have a free account, don't borrow money - no mortgage, no loans or overdraft etc. It's costing them to have me.
In fact I insist on having a bilingual/welsh cheque book even which must cost them more to print even though I speak no welsh (I was at uni in wales years ago and liked it being different so kept it).

Plus they weren't bailed out. Why would I change, and if I was too where would I go!?
