Just wondering before I go and embarass myself whether if you are on tax credit, your children may be entitled to free school meals, its just that it does add up to a fair amount each week.Blush

Lucinda, I agree with you wholeheartedly.

I feel so bad for the misadvice you've received, and the failure of everyone in your immediate environment to encourage you to do whatever you're capable of that I'd like you to give me your sort code and account number so I can divert a rational percentage of my salary straight to you.

Yet, I'm guessing, you'd still be glass half full.

Wallow on, ducky, there's actual brave people on this forum, coping.

saggarmakersbottomknocker · 13/10/2010 21:01

Does that really matter? Either you want to work and are capable of it or you're not. You seem intelligent enough to know and to do something about it. Or are you just happy to procrastinate and blame the system?

onadietcokebreak · 13/10/2010 21:09

Fecking hell its mastermind now. My specialist subject is "The history of the structure of the welfare state"

misdee · 13/10/2010 21:11

i have lost track.

dh was on IB for 7years. when he applied fr work, and knew what he could and could not do, then IB gave him 4 weeks IB, plus return to work grant.

misdee · 13/10/2010 21:11

4 weeks IB ONCE he secured a job btw.

onadietcokebreak - classic diversionary tactic by Lucinda - he knows he's talking bollocks and that you've got him bang to rights, so he tries to put you on the defensive.

snigger · 13/10/2010 21:15

Your bonus question, dietcokebreak - what was the name of the minister with responsibilty for social security between 1988 and 1989, and which was his favourite herbal tea?

LucindaCarlisle · 13/10/2010 21:21

onedietcoke is wrong to say that a lot of help is available to Incapacity Benefit claimants. The DWP have allowed millions of people to rot on Incapacity Benefit without inviting them in to discuss their needs with a professional Employment adviser or with a social Worker who can "enable" them to overcome some difficulties.

LucindaCarlisle · 13/10/2010 21:22

onedietcoke is talking total bollocks.

onadietcokebreak · 13/10/2010 21:28

PMSL Snigger and Mickeymurphy.

There have been tons of initiatives to help IB customers back to work. Most of them shortlived.

You can always ring yourself for an interview.

onadietcokebreak · 13/10/2010 21:30

No Lucinda YOU are.

I suggest you to ring tomorrow for an interview and you write a subject access request for all your documents.

Gay40 · 13/10/2010 21:31

Lucinda, you are still talking a bag of shite.

onadietcokebreak · 13/10/2010 21:33

Hi Gay40...loved your constant customer observation.

snigger · 13/10/2010 21:37

Actually, Luce, (I feel I can call you Luce, you've put yourself out there) have you considered self-employment? No-one to hold your hand there, and if DH could manage it with his people skills, anyone can.

LucindaCarlisle · 13/10/2010 21:38

It is pure Political Spin from the old Labour Government who claimed to be doing things to help people get back into work.

Did they employ sufficient trained and qualified Disability employment advisers?

If a claimant went in to a Job Centre did they welcome them with a pleasant manner and sit down with them and talk things over wityh them? NO they did not.

snigger · 13/10/2010 21:40

Spoken like someone who's never had to tolerate the public for £7.50 an hour in their life.

saggarmakersbottomknocker · 13/10/2010 21:43

For that chip on your shoulder.

onadietcokebreak · 13/10/2010 21:43

If you wanna call scans and special teams set up to call IB claimants just before Jobcentreplus a political spin feel free.

I can name the DEA from my local jobcentre and I can tell you she is bloody good and well respected amongst her clients.

If a claimant went in to a Job Centre did they welcome them with a pleasant manner and sit down with them and talk things over with them? Yes and NO Depending on the circumstances, the customer and unfortunately the advisor sometimes. The system is far from perfect....

LucindaCarlisle · 13/10/2010 21:44

Labour destroyed Public Services.

onadietcokebreak · 13/10/2010 21:46

Wanna discuss the third way? Welfare rights with responsibility..............

onadietcokebreak · 13/10/2010 21:48

Labour destroyed Public Services......

Now I know you are deranged...Labour???

MickeyMurphyMasterBaker · 13/10/2010 21:52

That's right, Luce. It's not you, is it?

It's THEM. What a shower of bastards THEY are. How dare they treat you badly? Arseholes.

Still, internet's best used to bang your little drum, rather than trying to find a way to do something with your life...

onadietcokebreak · 13/10/2010 21:53

So tell me a little more about Lucinda. Im intriged what is he(?) all about.
