I am a single parent with 2 DC. My new partner doesn't live with me but stays over a few times a week. He doesn't contribute to my household finances. How do i stand legally with the my Tax Credit. What are the rules on how many nights a b/f can stay over?

As long as he is not living with you (and you can prove this if anyone gets shirty), I don't see how it will affect your tax credits.

See CAB (Citizens' Advice Bureau) if uncertain.

its income support that normally gets affected if you have a partner staying over. i think your best bet is to ring tax credits and ask.

OP, there are a lot of urban myths surrounding your type of problem.
I strongly urge you to see CAB who should be able to dispel some of the urban myths surrounding your type of problem.

Thanks for your help, I'll pop down to CAB to seek their advise. {smile}
