This is our book group, there are 5 of us so please can you check in when you have your book. We can use this thread for general chat but no spoilers please

The thinner of the two was first, but I suppose it doesn’t really matter which order it is in going forward as long as everybody gets every one! Really glad they turned up, no idea why the delay, perhaps the postie could smell the chocolate melting so was waiting for a cooler day

I’m actually up in your neck of the woods so I could have hand delivered haha. The thicker of the two was particularly interesting I thought! R

@mailfuckoff - I posted your book today. I really enjoyed this one, one of the best books I have read in a while.

How many books in are we? I'm trying to think which book you've just read and enjoyed so much Claire, but my memory is shocking and I've lost track already!

Ha ha @TheGirlWhoLived at least they got here in the end. Yes I really enjoyed the thicker book when I read it a while ago.

I might give up on my current one. Didn't take it on holiday, and haven't got much desire to read it now I'm back...it's not awful just hasn't grabbed me. Looking forward to receiving the 'thicker book' user and thegirl have read and both enjoyed.

In WHICH case I think possibly the good book is mine (massive ego) if it had a character called Emma? Black cover IIRC?!

Ha, I think you might be right thegirl. Definitely an Emma, but more of a grey/white cover with red writing, I think?

In WHICH case, I think the thick book that you've just sent onto user and have both enjoyed is actually my book?! Which, funnily enough, I really didn't like, but chose it for this book swap because everyone else I knew who'd read it really enjoyed it so I was keen to see what everyone in this group thought and chat with you all about why everyone else likes it but not me?!

If I've got that right, you really don't need to send that one back to me user. Just send the other one that you've received onto me when you've finished it.

(I'm not entirely sure I have got that right, because for some reason I find getting my head round a group of five people posting a book in a circular fashion just a bit baffling?!)

I think potentially yes, i was fascinated by the concept of your book Orchid but did struggle with the writing... in the end I skipped forward to all the.... final.... bits (is that too spoiler-y?!) I never really get on with books that tell you the end before it starts... incidentally i would have loved a discussion thread, if we go again I will definitely set some up, discussing the book Is my favourite part!!!

Hi, yes I have mine thanks. I'm work travelling tomorrow so will read it on the plane. I sent mine Friday so should be delivered soon

nah I post to you, you post to Big Pink Orchid I think - who's own book is the thicker one of the two. We should be back to where we started after this posting. I received what looks like a great read - Author LM - I'm assuming this is yours my username?

Yes that's mine! Sorry of course I post to @BigPinkOrchid! I'm getting confused. I've got a white book by KA which I've read before and really enjoyed. And another one, thinner by MCB which is good but I'm struggling a bit to get into. I also have it on my kindle so could post both but the post office is closed today now and I'm off on holiday at 3am!

Well that is INCREDIBLY selfish to pop off on holiday when there are books to be posted.
