Bookswap that was closed, is now open for a few more members......

Hellooooo!

We are a friendly group of lovely mums who have been doing a book swap for over a year now. We are on the continent as well as in UK. We had one "circuit" which turned out to be a bit of a nightmare had a few problems, but since then, we have become strict learnt a lot and this last one seems to have worked well.

We would like to open the swap up to a few more people (about 6 more, maybe). If you are interested in hopping on board, please read what we expect from you below and post on this thread and I will contact you.

We have found that COMMUNICATION is vital. So please be prepared to COMMUNICATE with us. We also have a closed facebook page, just for us!! We found this useful for extra communication and chat.

We start by posting the names of 3 books that you would be happy to put into the swap.(Choose 3, so that if someone has read one, another can be used, also it keeps us guessing about what we will be receiving).
We did agree that we would not have hardback books, to keep the postage down.

We post before the end of the month, so that the book arrives to the recipient at the beginning of the month. IF for ANY reason this is not possible you must post on the thread to let us know and give an expected posting date. - We are not ogres and dont mind, but just want to know what is happening.

You then write what you thought about the book and have discussions after reading. Last circuit this was done on a facebook page.

If you are up for this, please let us know.

I plan to have all the preliminary stuff sorted out so that we can confidently post the first book for the start of February.

I am assuming here that you know how these bookswaps work, but if you don?t please feel free to PM me and I will answer any questions or explain the basics. (I just didn?t want to have a too mega long preamble to put people off! )

I had remembered FC, but sent a message from facebook and she has not responded. If she asks to come back in, then I am sure we could spread our wings a little further.

Did it work ok with your DH bringing the books back to the UK? If not, just say.

I think it worked fine with DH taking the books to the UK, but you'll have to double check with Loler if it worked for her. I don't think she ever had to wait too long for a book.

Come to think of it haven't had a book for December so won't be posting on this month. I think JJ was actually reading my book though.

OOOOOps hands up, thats my fault!!! I posted JJs book to you a few days ago. But maybe you should have had another December book, too. The one I posted on was the one you posted without reading right at the beginning iirc.

If anyone has a magic way of getting the books onto the continent, please let me know. If not I will carry on posting over.

Sorry for all the links, I just didnt want to mislead people all year that we were wanting more members. If we ever need more members we can resurrect this thread and then transfer them over.
