On the positive side I had one period and caught the next month I was around 6-7 weeks gone when the mc happened. I wasnt too concerned as reading so much about mcs after it happened -how common MCs are that is and just because youve had one baby doesnt mean its not going to happen to you - no one tells you this I'm all self taught.

I was fine for the next pregnancy however until I had my first scan we didnt talk about "a baby".

I'm curious, what is AF? I've seen it mentioned but I can't figure it out :? I may just be dense.

From a physical point of view is it better to wait a while, if you were to get pregnant to soon, could there be more complications?

Aunt Flo!

My dd1 was conceived in the same month I miscarried - my dating was off by 6 days but apart from that, all fine.

yep, dense.

am currently breastfeeding my LO as i type this- she was concieved 19 days after my mmc at 10 weeks- i charted so knew i ovulated then so i was sure of my dates (with a history of MC it can be really scary for first few weeks of a new pregnancy if you aren't quite sure of when conception occured as your reassurance or dating scans may scare you if no HB found etc. I think that the only reason not to try again straight away is the dating one (unless you had to have a D&C in which case your body may need longer to heal)- so long as you are mentally and phsyically ready then go for it- because personally i think the reason i caught again so quickly is because your body wants to be pregnant again.

Good luck!

LOL - not dense, just obvious once you know....I do lots of those!

My consultant said to me, if you ovulate then your body is ready.

We started trying as soon as I stopped bleeding. It somehow helped with the emotional pain, and I had a positive test exactly 4 weeks after I started miscarrying. I didn't really expect to get pg, but I was hopeful, so I don't know how I would have felt if I hadn't got pg then - ie. would it have made me feel even worse? I am now 20 weeks and the mc is still very much in my mind. I guess any pg after a mc would be hard, no matter when you got pg, but the first 12 weeks were very fraught and I still don't feel very relaxed.
