hi everyone, im looking for some advise or if anyone has been through the same. i have 2 healthy boys (6&3) but ive had 7 misccariages, latest in jan just gone. im now 5 wks and 4 days pregnant again but ive started bleeding red blood. im going for a scan on friday as i will be 6 wks then. im worried thats its another miscarriage. i went to a consultant last miscarriage and she said everything were fine with me but i dont understand why i keep miscarrying!!! .! im so desperate for another baby! if i do miscarry again this time i want to look into getting them to implant the baby for me or even surrogacy! has anybody had any of the above? if so how much did it cost?
please help, i feel like there is something wrong with me as i keep miscarrying!

So sorry this is happening to you, it must be awful, physically and emotionally, to miscarry this frequently. I assume your 7 miscarriages have all been since your 3 year old was born?

No doubt you have been told to rest as much as possible. Pretty difficult to do with 2 little boys to look after - can you get help from parents or other family members?

Best of luck in holding on to this pregnancy. But what will be, will be. Bedrest might help but can't guarantee the happy outcome you want.

If you do lose this baby, do not be fobbed off by any one saying "everything is fine". Eight miscarriages in less than 4 years warrants some investigation, even if you have to bang on the table to get it. Hope it won't come to that.

hi there, really sorry to hear what a nightmare you've been through. can you say a bit more about your previous miscarriages? did they all happen after your sons were born or were some of the miscarriages before your successful pregnancies?
if you have had seven miscarriages in a row then you should definitely have been offered detailed investigations on the NHS. Even if they weren't all in a row it's an awful lot of miscarriages and i'm sure you should have been offered tests.Have you had any at all? you don't say how old you are, which could be relevant...i'm not a doctor by the way, but i've had four miscarriages in a row, all since my little boy was born. he's now almost three. i've had lots and lots of tests, some NHS, some private.
i've looked into surrogacy as well and can tell you what I've learned about that sometime but please don't start thinking about stuff like that until you know what's happening with this pregnancy.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow, you never know! I found one miscarriage bad enough, seven is really awful. I don't know where you are or what tests you've had done but maybe you should try writing to Professor Kypros Nicolaides at the Harris Birthright Centre, Kings College Hospital London and explain what you've been through. He is an expert in Fetal medicine. I have seen him myself, not for miscarrying but basically if I hadn't of seen him, my twins wouldn't be alive today. I can remember watching a program on him and a lady was suffering from miscarriages and it turned out to be a problem with iron/platelets or something. (I can't quite remember.) I know it's easier said then done but I would really push for some investigations to prevent yourself having to keep going through this torture!

nancy10 - thanks for that! i have had my bloods taken and the consultant said everything were ok but i feel like there is something wrong with it keep happening!! if it turns out to be another miscarriage tomorrow i will be sure to push to get them to do something and also go to docs so she can help push them aswell!

will let you all know tomorrow!
