Good books on the subject?

Hi everyone,

after having my second mc in 3 months (I lost the first at 12 weeks in a mmc, and yesterday lost the second at 5.4 weeks) I was wondering if anyone could recommend good/inspiring/educational reading on the subject that might help me to come to terms with it...or maybe prevent it in the future?

Thanks!

anastasia I am sorry you have to go through this again. I keep finding myself back on these threads too.

There is a decent book by Lesley Regan which many women have found useful. I'm sure it will come up on amazon if you search. I just looked for my copy but can't find it.

Good luck

I am sorry to hear your about the loss of your babies.

I've had a MMC and its not nice. I'm afraid I don't know any books, but I just wanted to say that I have a friend who had 2 miscarriages (1st and 2nd trimester) and 2 weeks ago had a baby girl.

You must feel understandably very sad and angry at the moment, but I just wanted to share that it can all end happily after a hard start.

Take care and look after yourself at this hard time

thank you ladies for your input and wise words.

feel as if I need to brush up on the subject; gives me the illusion of some sort of control I suppose.

anastasia try Lesley Regans 'what every woman needs to know', or dr Beers 'is your body baby friendly. i also got a book called 'preventing miscarriage' by jonathan scher.

the first two are probably the most popular and they have some different ideas on causes of rmc.

i got all mine for a few £ on amazon.

i understand what you mean about having a bit of control. reading these books made me feel like i could approach my doctors and not feel completely clueless.

sorry to hear about your losses.
