Just need to get this out

I have had two miscarriages. Both very different.

I passed something in the hospital toilet and it wasn't until a long time later that I realised it must have been the baby.

There were two things that came out so maybe one was the placenta.

One piece looked really quite big and bigger than I would have expected for the weeks pg the Docs were telling me I was.

Not sure what I am saying really. Just feel it is time to get this out and move on.

So sorry. It's horrible.

Poor you. Just wanted to sympathise. I was amazed at the amount of blood and clots I lost. It was a hideous experience.

MuffinBaker · 12/04/2009 22:32

I don't think I will ever stop feeling guilty that it went in the toilet.

So sorry Had similar experience regards the clots etc. esp remember noticing the size of some of them.

I'm so sorry. With mine, they gave me a bedpan type thing to put over the toilet. I was having strong cramps and felt something come out, then started to wee and tried desperately to stop. I felt horrible for getting wee on it.

I wanted to look at it a bit longer, but the nurse was knocking on the door. Then they took it away.

It's miserable, isn't it.

doggus · 12/04/2009 23:10

Oh Muffin - don't feel bad. It's a really common thing for the baby to go in the loo. I read someone else on here was feeling guilty abut the same thing and another mumsnetter told her to imagine the baby flowing out to sea and becoming part of the sea. Mind you she put it a lot better than that.

stillenacht · 12/04/2009 23:12

so sorry muffin

MuffinBaker · 13/04/2009 09:55

I didn't have a clue until it had happened. I know it seems ridiculous that it still bothers me but I didn't know what it was until it was too late to look at it. I would have wanted to say goodbye

i had a mmc too, its so bloody hard...can you say goodbye another way? i had a balloon bought for me in which you could attach a message, (clinton cards) and i let it free and watched it float away.
I also had a star tattoo on my wrist which is a symbol to guide you through rough times and brings you luck (on profile pics) i look at this everyday to remember my little one

Muffin - my mc started with a little bleed and then i had a big loss in the toilet i fell on the floor and cried so loud, almost howled, thaat dh broke the door to get in. i wouldnt let him flush the toilet but obviously we had to.

Don't feel guilty, please.

MuffinBaker · 13/04/2009 10:01

Thank you.

I feel comforted and a bit silly.

never EVER feel silly,, its natures wazy how you reacted, not something you should control.

barbie1 · 13/04/2009 10:03

never silly....its normal, we all feel these things....you just need to find your own way to process your feelings x

ScorpiowithabigS · 13/04/2009 10:03
