Bleeding at 6 weeks. Is there any possibility this ISN´T a MC? (desperate!)

I have bled sporadically for a few days now. Not every day. And sometimes only pink and light. Sometimes a bit heavier though. I have not had any cramping though.

Is there anyway I am not having a MC? I must admit, I am not feeling any pg symptoms though. Just very tetchy.

If I do a pg test will it show negative if i have lost the baby?

I´m on hols abroad at the moment, so signed in on hotel connection. Therefore won´t be able to respond much, as only have 7 minutes left. I will check later for any responses though.

TIA.

All the best drink your milk.. Keep us posted. Will be thinking of you. I'll be getting blood results back tomorrow for HCG levels. Had them taken today. Don't think they'll be good news.

Thanks purple. No more red blood, but still cramps and brown blood with bits. Been resting in bed all day- so suspect that's slowed it down.

I do appreciate it's an outside chance, but I'm desperately hoping it goes well for you purple. The stories are out there so it has to happen to someone Flowers

So sorry to hear what you are going through and thank you. Flowers

Hi all...I am 6 weeks + 1 day. I started bleeding yesterday, went to A & E, where the staff acted quickly, got me up to the early pregnancy unit for a scan, apparently it's too early too see a heartbeat, the sac is there. I'm back on the 19th Jan for a scan. I'm deeply concerned that I've MC. I have a 12 year old daughter, and never had any problems.
I had bleeding yesterday morning, then nothing again until last night.
What a bloody worry.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated Smilexx

All I can say is that you won't know until you get repeats of your HCG levels in 48 hours. Lots of people bleed. It's a cruel waiting game I'm afraid. All the best x

Hi everyone
I just want to share a bit of light on the bleeding situation in early pregnancy. I started bleeding really heavy at 5w5d (sorry if tmi but with clots and I really thought it was the end) I rung my nurse she said it sounds like a miscarriage... I was devastated at the thought. The bleeding stopped after about an hour so the next day me and my partner booked for an Ultrasound where the lady told us It was too early to see the baby (5wks) and that I had a subchorionic hematoma behind the placenta and the bleeding is from that but if I got anymore then go to the hospital. This eased my mind a little but then it started happening again that next evening... was in really bad pain and passing clots so went to the hospital and that doctor also wasn't sure about where the bleeding was coming from and didn't sound optimistic at all. I then had 2 blood tests 48 hours apart where my levels had shot up from 4525 to 8058 and the baby is growing nicely.
This just goes to show how you CAN!!!! Get heavy bleeding and clots in pregnancy which definitely does NOT always mean it is the end of the road!! I had faith and you all need to. I know it's easier said than done but if anyone of you is going through what I went through last weekend DONT PANIC these things happen and in most cases mean absolutely nothing Smile baby dust to all xxx

Hi
This happened to me and I had a subchorionic hematoma (bleeding behind my placenta) so the bleeding clots and cramps were completely normal Smile don't give up hope.. and certainly don't panic! These things can happen and don't always mean it's the end of the road x

I found out I was pregnant last Monday, started spitting on Thursday, bleeding red blood on Friday, three tiny clots on Sunday. Rang 111 as was concerned as is my first pregnancy. Was referred to an out of hours doctor. Was asked at reception to do a urine sample, which the doctor didn't even look at. He just asked my symptoms and asked me what I thought was happening and I said possible miscarriage. And he said that's what he thought it was. I asked if it's possible to still carry a baby after bleeding and losing clots as I have read other ladies success stories and he said it was possible. I also asked if they could test my hormones to see if that would indicate if I was still pregnant. And he said I could go to my local GP to do a blood sample. So I think I'm having a miscarriage, am still bleeding but not as heavy and no more clots. I've also read about blood clots leading to early pregnancy bleeding. Also the possibility of twins could lead to possible bleeding. I myself was a twin, but my mum miscarried the other baby at 12 weeks. Is it ridiculous that I am still hopeful? Or should I just admit defeat this time round? If it is a miscarriage I have no idea what to expect. If I will pass more clots of if it's nearly finished. The doctor didn't give me any information and I have no idea who to talk to.

Hi, I’m new and expecting my first child. I’ve had a couple of small bleeds after sex with my partner and last night I started having brownish coloured blood from my vagina. I’m 6 weeks and have my first midwife appointment tomorrow. Should I worry about it as it was slightly bad but then stopped?

Masonl33 · 13/03/2019 13:20

I am 6 weeks pregnant, I had a scan on Monday and everything appeared fine but yesterday I started spotting bright red blood, then today it’s got slightly worse and I’m in pain with my stomach like bad period cramps... any advice?
