Could Laughing too much cause miscarriage?!

Ok this may initially sound a silly question, but it has been bugging me for a while;

I had some friends round one evening, and one of them mistook the carpet for a chair and promptly fell over when he tried to sit down. It was very funny at the time, and I creased up laughing. You know, the kind of laughing that makes your sides hurt.

Well my stomach did hurt afterwards, and the next day is when all my problems started, with the cramps and the bleeding. A week and a half later my waters broke I lost the baby at just under 16 weeks.

So could this have any bearing on what happened, maybe too much pressure on the diaphragm ?

No, I don't think so. Babies are built tough.

I fell down the stairs and it didn't make an iota difference to the baby.

Don't blame yourself...

No I am sure its not.
Dont blame this- it was a tragic thing to happen and had nothing to do with you laughing.

Try not to fret too much about it x

No.
You are trying to blame yourself - stoppit.
What has happened to you is horribly sad, but it wasn't your fault.

I'm very sorry to hear you lost your baby - whilst you may need to know a cause of your miscarriage, you may also need to accept that you might never know why it happened. People carry babies to term through violent relationships and substance abuse. You are not to blame. You've been unjustly unlucky and it's awful. But it wasn't your fault.

I'm not a medical expert but I really doubt this would have had anything to do with it at all. In fact I think it's almost impossible to actually cause a miscarriage yourself iyswim.
I really wouldn't worry that it had anything to do with it although I can understand you must be searching for reasons it may have happened. In fact i'm sure i've read that laughing releases feel good chemicals and is therefore beneficial reather than the opposite.
I am sorry for your loss

So very sorry for your loss. I've been there, and understand how easy it is to cast around for a 'cause' - I couldn't help thinking it was because I kept going to the gym, even though I knew that was nonsense.

Honestly, laughing can't cause miscarriage. You're not to blame. You've just had a horrible experience that is no-one's fault.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. Try to be kind to yourself.

I am not expert but i have never heard of this. If was true then only very serious cows would have kids. I wouldn t thats for sure. I laugh a lot, lol.
Please dont blame yourself.
I like your name. wishing you all the luck in the future
