How quickly after MC did you conceive and what did you do to increase chances (if anything)?

Just as the title says really.. I had surgical management for MMC at 9 weeks pregnant two weeks ago and just curious how long it took others to conceive after a miscarriage and if you did anything to increase your chances? Keen to conceive again quickly x

Firstly, so sorry to hear about your MC. I hope you are getting emotional support? I MC in April then got pregnant again in June that same year. We waited a month before trying again but we were going through fertility treatment called ovulation induction. But I recommend you take Folate from H&B highest dose and vitamin d to support your chances.

@InsiderIntel thank you for your reply! Thank you, yes thankfully my partner and close friends and family have been very supportive. It’s a hard thing to go through.
Sorry you went through it too - that’s great news you conceived quickly following your MC! I hope the same for me. If you don’t mind me asking what did you take for the ovulation? Was it Letrazole? I also have this but decided to stop it due to side effects a few months ago but still have my prescription x

A support system is extremely important! A little advise is to make sure you speak about all the things you feel and how they make you feel. That will help your healing journey too x But I didn’t respond to Letrozole so I ended up taking injections in the stomach but still under ovulation induction not IVF. Are you buying the Letrozole behind the counter or via fertility clinic? In UK we can only get it via fertility clinic.

@InsiderIntel yes that is good advice, I’m still working out whether I’m moving forward in a healthy way or burying it a bit. Maybe it’s a mix really. But my family have been a good support to me.
Ah okay that makes sense! I’m UK also and it was under prescription - although I do ovulate regularly but in Feb I had surgery for stage 4 endo and my dr put me on Letrazole just to throw everything at it as IVF is not an option for me and my partner and we’ve been TTC number 2 for over 3 years x

So sorry for your loss. I had a miscarriage in the July and was pregnant again in the September, that baby is now messaging me on her way home from school to ask if she can go to a friends for dinner. I thought I was ok dealing with it all and then I had to take dh to the hospital on the day that would have been my due date for the baby I lost, and I cried my eyes out in the carpark.

@Anythingpink So glad to hear you have an amazing support system! Take your time with your feelings. Your doctor sounds good. I’d talk to them about your feelings and thoughts to help you navigate and get an Idea of what would be best for your body x
