Struggling to sleep

Had a MMC and subsequently surgical management about 2 weeks ago.
Feeling fine physically, and most of the time fine mentally. Although did have lots of tears Friday night.
I returned to work about a week after the surgical management and thought I was doing ok. But I’m just not sleeping, have had to take the day off today as I wouldn’t have been any good in the classroom (I’m a secondary teacher)
When does this get better?!

I'm so sorry x

It does get better, but in my experience it took time, quite alot of time.

A week off work isn't long. I took two and still felt like I went back way to early- I also work in a secondary school. Are you able to get yourself signed off?

I was signed off until today, went back last Tuesday as this was my lightest teaching day. In hindsight maybe I should have taken the full 2 weeks off.
I know I need to prioritise myself, but I also know how much harder my classes will be when I get back if I’m off any significant time.
It was good to be back last week, and the kids reaction to me being there was lovely for the most part. Just wish I could sleep properly

I really struggled to sleep after my second loss. My consultant ended up prescribing me three days worth of a really drowsy antihistamine which got me back on track without impacting my body. Take care of yourself.

I’ve ordered myself some Nytol, and achool have given me the option of some sort of phased return.
I never expected it to hit me quite so hard, I guess it’s the loss of the future that makes it so hard
