So just going through my second miscarriage my last one was in Nov last year. This time i only made it to 5 weeks. I only tested postive two days before I started bleeding. Last time I got to 8 weeks. I have a beautiful 6 year old so have had a child before but I was 35 then. Has anyone had two miscarriages at my age and managed to have a baby at all? Do I need to get tested to see what is going on?

My consultant said that there’s a lot of evidence for the use of 75mg of aspirin as soon as you get a positive test. I had three miscarriages, at the ages of 39, 40 and 41. I took the aspirin daily with my fourth pregnancy until I gave birth, age 42.

I’m 43 and just started bleeding yesterday, an early miscarriage. We’ve been trying for 1 year and this is my second loss.

I feel very upset and uncertain to keep trying or give up. I just assume my eggs are too old. Honestly I didn’t think I’d be in this position naive I know. I had a son when I was 37 and we conceived easily

In a similar position to you, OP. I miscarried 2 weeks ago at 9+5. I’m 43 and have 2 older children age 17 and 18. Had a private consultation yesterday to discuss possible testing. It’s hard to know what’s the right thing to do. Have the other ladies on the thread who had successful pregnancies in their 40s after miscarriage(s) gone down the testing route, or did you leave it to chance?

I didn't have tests while trying as I assumed it was all down to age, but I did go to the fetal medicine clinic on harley st when I was pregnant with my daughter (3rd pregnancy) and had all the tests then at 8 weeks.
