Hi, we are now TTC after 2 miscarriages since December 24. We have a 2.5 year old girl.
has anyone had 1 or more miscarriages and tried anything that led to a successful pregnancy? I am taking ubiquinol, vitamin D, folic acid and omega 3 as I read some threads here that it may help.
im overweight so i know I should be trying to to walk more/be more healthy
any advice or tips please tell me xx

Have you been to the GP yet? Progesterone was a game changer for a friend. Best of luck x

It was nothing you did or didn't do I'm sure.

How about considering nutrition and supplements for dh? The sperm is important too.

Hope it goes smoothly for you.

I was prescribed progesterone for the second miscarriage. I will absolutely push for it again if I fall pregnant. The issue is that they would only prescribe it once I had a pregnancy confirmed on a scan (around 6 weeks) and had to have been bleeding - it was too late for me by that point. I wonder if privately would be an option from first finding out, but I just don’t think we could afford it. All so unfair! X

So they waited for you to bleed before prescribing something that reduces the chance of miscarriage by preventing bleeding?! That's madness 😭 a total faff, but can you change GPs?

My GP said she would prescribe as soon as I had a positive test - I tested before I was due on period!

Agree make lifestyle factors are important too.

What are you doing to take care of yourself?

Apparently this is standard - it was the early pregnancy unit and they said they can’t prescribe it unless you have bleeding. It was on the NHS website and they only prescribed it as I had the previous miscarriage and was bleeding. I can definitely ask my GP but my previous time it was the EPU and they said it’s standard!! So annoying as I know it was too late last time

This is really helpful thank you - I will definitely ask my GP. When I went to the EPU last time, they said we had to have a scan to confirm that pregnancy was in the right place and had some bleeding etc. so unfair x

I think my EPU would have said the same.

There are side effects from the progesterone so they wouldn't have prescribed it without indication. The majority of women who have 1 miscarriage go on to have a healthy next pregnancy so it wouldnt make sense to prescribe it straightaway in the 2nd pregnancy @Springadorable

I only knew about progesterone because I was prescribed it after a bleed in my 2nd pregnancy (which ended in miscarriage as the 1st one had) so I understand a bit of how you might feel, OP. My 3rd pregnancy is now a healthy 1 year old
