How to have healthy pregnancy again? Any vitamins?

i am just recovering from my second MMC in 4 months. I have a 2.5 year old who I had “easily” with no issues during pregnancy.
what can I do now to increase chances of successful pregnancy? Both miscarriages were between 5-6 weeks so it seems they aren’t even getting to a point of being a viable pregnancy / baby. Are there specific vitamins etc to take?

I took folic acid, vitamin d, COQ10 and dha after my mmc and had a healthy pregnancy! My mmc the baby stopped growing at 7.5 weeks

Im under the care of a recurrent miscarriage clinic after two MMC’s at 8 weeks. The main one is D3- 2000 then 600mg of coq10, 75mg of aspirin and Omega 3 + your usual prenatal. Wishing you lots of luck, it’s such a shitty thing to go through.

Sorry for you loss.

There's a lot of research at the moment about the role the father plays in pregnancy health.

For example, the health of the placenta and risk of gestational diabetes are mostly dictated by the male contribution.

It's not just you that needs to prepare.

Good luck on your journey.

This is SO helpful thank you. I have been referred to the tommys recurrent miscarriage service but apparently there is a long wait. I am going to order coq10, omega 3 and vitamin D3, I can’t get the exact strengths it seems due to needing a prescription for some but at least if I am taking some then it should all help whilst I wait! Thank you

That’s really interesting to know, thank you. My husband is absolutely willing to do anything so I will look at what he can take. We have managed to get pregnant so quickly each time so I just assumed he was doing his “part” fine

You're very welcome- I've been there and I know what it's like. It's so tricky as the midwife told me I didn't need anything other than vit D and Folic acid, the miscarriage clinic completely contradicted her.

Just to add that you can get all of the above without a prescription, even in high strength- though for coq10 you'll need to take 2x 300mg to get to the 600mg.

This is the coq10 I use; https://www.theintelligenthealth.com/collections/nw-coq10 the others were at Holland & Barrett.

I am rooting for you, good luck.

Thank you. I didn’t even think about taking 2x 300mg, sounds so simple now you say it! I’ve just ordered them. Feeling so conflicted between wanting to try again so quickly but having had both miscarriages so close to one another, I’m worried trying again quickly will cause another. It’s such a worrying time. I hope all is going well for you xx

I can relate to this; I've done quite a lot of research on it and I think there's evidence to suggest you're more fertile after a miscarriage- though being emotionally ready to go through those early weeks again is another story!

In my case, they've found immune issues and so I'm having a few months of treatment before we can start trying again. Frustrating but if I'm being honest, probably what I need mentally. Sounds like you have a supportive husband which makes so much difference.
