IVF (losses, fragmentation, no embryos)

Hi,

I’m at a bit of a loss where to turn or what to do as no one seems to have any answers for me, so hoping I find someone on here that might have experienced similar or have at least an idea of next steps.

My wife and I (same sex) embarked upon our IVF journey last year. I didn’t ovulate due to my PCOS so we opted for IVF as the better option. Everything on paper was perfect, ovaries looked great, womb was healthy, no sign of any cysts and my AMH was very high. I got 30 follicles and they collected 13 eggs.. all mature and 11 of them fertilised. We got a message from the lab a few days later to say there were heavy signs of fragmentation in the eggs, so not to expect much. We ended up with 2 embryos, a 3BB and 4BB and transferred one at a time.. both resulting in miscarriage. One at 5 weeks and another, a chemical.

Fast forward to last month where we began our second round of IVF, I had 56 follicles this time however they still only collected 13 eggs.. again, all mature and 12 fertilised. We made so many changes this round, eating good, new donor, new supplements.. and we just got the call that like last time, there is heavy fragmentation and we got 0 embryos.

I don’t know what to think, why did this happen? Is it something genetic wrong? What genetic condition could cause this? Everything I have found for genetic things don’t usually result in fragmentation, more pregnancy loss. Our clinic doesn’t seem to know why this keeps happening.

We are going through everything in our head from genetic things to maybe IVF is too powerful and I would be better with IUI? Or is that stupid to think?

We have been thinking about contacting different clinics to see if they have an answer.

Our next steps are neither RIVF or donor embryos but we just can’t seem to get our heads around this. If anyone has had or heard of similar, please let us know. Thank you.
