OvuSense Vaginal Thermometer

Hi all,

I’ve been a user of mumsnet for years but never really posted. My background is I am 33, and have had 3 miscarriages, 1 natural, 1 clomid and 1 IVF. I have 1 frozen embryo left but reluctant to use it yet as I feel as though that’s our last chance… and I have recently realised that I have started ovulating after taking Myo Inositol for the past 6 months. (Ov’d past 4 cycles I think but I’m only going off sore boobs/nipples and periods regulating from 25-100+ days to exactly 40 days on the dot now) I just don’t know when I ovulate, and me and OH live very busy lives so find it hard to have sex every other day. Anyway after extensive research on temping etc I have bought the OvuSense vaginal thermometer and going to start it in the next couple of days when my period ends.

Just want to know peoples experiences with it? I’ve read a lot of women who have had successes with it on here but none of which seem to have my background, I’m just a desperate 33 year old looking for some hope really. Facing another Christmas without our baby is just too much

Thanks for reading and hope to hear from you all xx

I thought it was great to pinpoint ovulation retrospectively. So I could see I ovulated on day 15 or 12 or whatever. It also allowed me to observe the other signs of ovulation so I knew it was coming up

Thank you for replying bunkbed, I’m really excited to just get a proper insight in to my new ‘regular’ for me cycles. Did it work for you at all and did you find the charts easy to read?

Yes I found it worked really well. I was able to read the charts easily as I had been temping for years before that. It's a set formula so you follow the steps and you can figure it out. I can't remember the information now but Taking Care of Your Fertility ( or maybe taking Charge) is a very useful book

I also really liked it. It was always accurate for me. Took 5 goes using it. Currently 23 weeks.
