6 losses

Hello everyone,

I had my 6th early miscarriage two weeks ago...
We're already trying but just want to hear from people who have had more than 3.

What has your experience been?
Do you have answers?
How have you coped with your grief?
What has your work life been since ttc?

If anyone is wondering, I've been seen by the reoccurring clinic and am on thyroid medication. Lowest dose for now with blood tests every 8 weeks to check levels. I started the medication a week before my last period was due, not sure if it would have saved the pregnancy had I taken it before ovulation.

I know getting your feelings out can help a lot. So please feel free to say what you're holding onto.

Hello,

I’m so sorry to hear about your loss and hope you will recover soon, I am new to this platform and have just lost my fourth baby as well, I am really struggling with the grief and have been signed off of work, I work in child care with 3 months to 5 years and if anyone has any advise I would be so grateful.

Hi @Bebcute123
Thank you💕 physically I'm okay and I know I'm ovulating so trying again....will definitely take a break after this cycle as I had a loss last Xmas day and I'd like to avoid that again.

I'm so so sorry you've had a fourth💔
It really breaks my heart as the hospital tell you it might not happen again, alas......

After my fourth I was in a really bad place and was off for 3 months. I work in retail but seeing babies and pregnant women still really triggered me. I'm sorry you're exposed to children at work....
I don't think there's a limit to taking time off and I hope your work are being supportive and understanding of your situation. You are protected because it's pregnancy related.

Have you been referred for counseling and the miscarriage clinic?? If you haven't speak to your GP and they will get you one asap. I did it after my fourth and it really helped me get through the worst. I promise it helps to talk to someone who is there to listen.
Do you have a partner or family you can lean on??
What are you doing while you're off work??

It's okay if it's a no to all my questions. I just want to know how I can help.

@92rainbows did all the tests, had a follow up meeting and they went "nothing we can see, must be idiopathic" and discharged me 🤷 basically means that's the end of the line for investigations under them, so I'm really hoping for the Dr Shehata referral. Also the results from the genetic blood tests (which we're yet to get) - there's only a 5% change they will show anything, but if they do we would be referred for genetic counselling which is a whole different game. At that point I think we would stop TTC to be honest. The numbers are just so against you if that's the case.
