Recurrent miscarriage support scotland

Has anyone here been referred to a recurrent miscarriage clinic in Scotland? I’m keen to hear about your experience, particularly how long you had to wait for your referral and what kinds of tests you were offered. If you decided to go private, which clinic did you use?

Also, has anyone had any experience consulting with Dr Evelyn Ferguson from AbC4d?

For a bit of context, this is my 6th miscarriage out of 7 pregnancies. I have one very healthy DC, but all the other pregnancies have ended around the 6-7 week mark. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Not sure if this is still helpful, but I was referred to the NHS recurrent miscarriage clinic in Edinburgh and didn't find the doctor there very helpful or encouraging - it was especially odd that the doctor was quite against the use of progesterone, given that this is widely used in a lot of clinics and in other countries.

I was doing IVF privately as well and I will say I didn't feel they investigated as much as I would have expected- my issue was failure to implant as well as miscarriages- they just said it didn't look like I had underlying issues and that I should keep trying. In their defence, I did keep trying, and am now 25 weeks pregnant, but I did make some modifications to my diet and other things based on my own conclusions! Happy to chat privately if that would help, best of luck, fertility is a tough journey.
