6 day wait for ERPC

Had a scan today that confirmed that our babies heart stopped beating/growing at around 6.5 weeks.

The earliest they can get me in for ERPC is Wednesday next week 😢 I'm scared I'm going to pass the baby naturally at home, I have a 15 month old and worried about pain/bleeding lots.

I don't know why I'm writing this I'm just scared. This will be my 4th D&C and my 14th miscarriage.

I'm sorry.

I was told a 3 week wait which seemed barbaric. I was able to go private. Is that an option for you?

Oh I’m so sorry you’re going through this, and to hear of your previous losses. I don’t really have advice other than the classic prepare for the worst but hope it doesn’t happen, get in plenty of pain relief, heavy duty pads and hopefully you have support around you? Take care of yourself 💕

Thank you everyone.

Private isn't an option for us unfortunately not at the moment. I haven't had any bleeding so just need Wednesday to hurry up so I can get this over and done with and grieve properly 😔

Elm26, so sorry to hear your news and about the wait. That is pretty awful. I hope you dont mind me asking but do you conceive very easily. I only ask because I was reading something today that might becspplicable to you if you do.

@Carportforme yes I do, it's keeping them that is the issue although my DD just seemed to be a miracle x

That is interesting because I have just finished reading the book Miscarriage” by Professor Regan and in one section of the book she says that some ladies have what is basically an over receptive uterus, ie, usually the signalling on implantation indicates to the womb that the embryo is fit for implantation, ie, it is healthy and ready but, in humans most of the time women conceive and nothing implants because basically humans are not that great at producing healthy embryos (I think I read somewhere that it was about one in four on average!). When the blatocyst (and I’ve probably spelt that wrong) it rolls around for 2-4 days giving out small amounts of HCG, which tells the womb that it is there and looking for somewhere to implant, a bit like someone knocking on a lot of front doors in a street trying to find the right house. Something in the signalling will tell the womb whether it is fit for implantation and, if it is then it allows it to implant and if not it doesn’t.
However, with some ladies the signalling is a bit awry and the womb allows any embryo to implant, whether it is fit for implantation or otherwise. This is apparently why some ladies get pregnant almost every month they try but have a lot of early or chemical losses. Not sure whether there is any treatment for it as I didn’t read that bit but I thought maybe this applied to you.
Sirry, I have waffled a bit but thought it worth mentioning x
