What a total F**K Up !!!!!

I went to hospital today for pre op. Op ERPC was booked for tomorrow. I saw the doc who was going to perform the op. He offered me the medically induced one. I have never been offered this so jumped at the chance as this is my 7th m/c and I have already had 3 ERPC's under anesthetic the last one in september 2007. I started this m/c about 5 weeks ago and the scans show 18mm of product left inside.
I had a hell of a time today at the hospital and went totally bozzo at this doctor. He showed no damn compassion at all.
It's a long story.......... Won't get into just yet....

Can someone out there please expalin what I should realistically expect.... I have already taken the 1st tablet and am due to take the others at 0600 on friday....
Starting to get scared and nervous....

HELP!!!!!

Sorry honey I cant help you on that. I would assume so though?!

Cannot believe you are not in hospital

medical managment means just that, not to be sent home to be left to it...

Im so sorry xxx

Oinker have just come home and have logged on to see hoe you are and I just cannot believe this . In my experience 1)You should really have been at the hospital today and 2)I don't think this procedure should have been offered to you because if you haven't had a complete miscarriage after 5 weeks it is unlikely that this would work and a ERPC is what is usually recommended.

Please understand that I say this out of genuine concern and I think that this has been going on for far too long. They really need to get their act together and sort this out for you. I had 7 weeks of it with my 3rd miscarriage and was in a very similar position to you. There was 17mm of product left which was causing it to be an ongoing saga and they gave me an ERPC after the medical management had been unsuccesful 5 weeks before. Please try and speak to your prof (not that twit that dealt with you the other day) and tell him to get this sorted ((((((hugs)))))))

Also oinker you ask if you should be bleeding and the answer is yes if the procedure is working. If the procedure works correctly then you would pass the remaining product. This is why you are usually in hospital, so that the medical staff can monitor your loss. If it doesn't work after the days stay in hospital then it is then that they usually send you home for things to take their course and then they follow it up with another scan to see if it has all gone.

worrybum...

I agree with everything you have written.
I know this is not working. I still have cramps, they are mild as I am keeping on top of the medication.
I will call my prof on monday and tell him whats happened. I have an appointment for the clinic on the 7th May but if nothing has happened by Monday I shouldn' think anything will happen. Hopefully he will get me in for a scan on Wednesday and the ERPC on the thursday morning as originally planned for this week.

Thanks for all your advice and help everyone.
It really helps knowing you guys are here and listening.

I went a bit nutty this morning as I heard him muttering to himself...
he said, I don't know why you didn't just have the D&C, it's so much easier....

I was like the tasmanian devil on speed....

He apologised.... He is just so frustrated with this too and has had to take the day of work for nothing really....

Hey Oinker,

Sorry not been on sooner to see how you are? Did anything major happen over the weekend?

Good Luck with ringing the hospital today

I have a scan this morning, hoping things have all gone because my bleeding is very very light now. Although still got niggly pains...

Oh and both me and DP indulged in cocktails on saturday night, weended up reminising about when DC's where babies. I admitted I dont want to take away the possibility of never being pregnant again, not saying I want to try again right away but dont want to rule it out for a few years. He agreed. I feel like a big weight has been lifted off my shoulders. For the last few weeks he's been saying a deffinate no!

Ive kept myself busy though with wedding planning. Booked our photogrpaher and DJ last week
