Advice - Cornual ectopic pregnancy

Looking for some advice really..
Long story short…
So recently I’ve had a cornual ectopic pregnancy resulting in a blood transfusion and emergency surgery to remove it.
Can anyone shine some light on having another baby and the real risks of rupturing?
Has anyone had a successful pregnancy after a cornual ectopic?
People that didn’t have a successful pregnancy what actually happened apart from losing the baby is their risk to ourselves as no one tells you that part?
I know this is a sensitive subject so really appreciate anyone taking the time to read this x

When you say cornual, do you mean you have an extra horn to your uterus and the pregnancy was in there, or do you mean the pregnancy happened in the border between the womb and the fallopian tube (also called interstitial ectopic)? I have no idea about the first one (probably no risk to you), but I do think there is increased risk with the second one of the uterus tearing open in the future pregnancy as that area where the ectopic was removed from the womb will make a weakness (which wouldn't be a risk if it was only in the fallopian tube). They might advise you to have a caesarean instead of natural delivery to reduce this risk. If they haven't explained risks to you properly I would try to get more information - simplest thing would be to phone the hospital and ask to be put through to the gynae secretary. They are normally good at tracking down consultants to give information, and might be able to phone you back once they've spoken to someone. Alternative would be to ask your GP to refer you to gynae for a gynae clinic debrief appointment to discuss what happened and explain future risks - you'd probably get more detail but would have to wait several months for the appointment. Hope that helps!
