Hi all,

I am about 8 weeks pregnant and have started to bleed heavily with cramps in the last few hours. May I ask if you miscarried, how long it was until it was all over? I have a scan tomorrow morning but I’m pretty sure things aren’t looking good. Also, how long did you have off work following a miscarriage? I can’t imagine going back to work on Friday, I am in bits 😢

💐to everyone who has been through this.

Thank you @Prettypennies to be honest I don’t know how far I am, my first MC I was 6 weeks, this time I should have been 8.5 but it looks like everything stopped around 6.5 but no previous hb seen so they couldn’t really tell

I was literally about to post a thread like this. I had some cramping on Sunday evening, didn't think too much of it due to growing pains as such in previous pregnancy. Went to bed as normal then around an hour later felt like I needed to go to the loo. I stood up out of bed and it was just like everything literally slipped out of me. I ran to the toilet, finding I was covered in blood down below and had passed a massive clot.

Since then, my bleeding has been very intermittent and rather light. I was around 7 weeks so not very far along, I did worry that I should be bleeding much heavier still but the extent I lost Sunday night was very significant. I currently look about six months pregnant due to bloating tummy. All the research on the internet states how you can go back to work in a day or two. I do not feel physically capable of running around after small children in work all day and have taken the week off.

I don't understand how we still live in a world that doesn't really acknowledge that miscarriages and your body after miscarriage, is a painful thing that has a massive impact on our physical bodies, not just emotionally. Women are pushed far too soon to get over it and move on. This is how I feel at the moment. I must say, I have been a little shocked about how tender my stomach still feels.

Sending love to all the ladies going through this, or who have been through this. Let's help normalise the impacts of miscarriage for the next generation. So much love to you all 💐

@Theothersideofthefence sending love and hugs. I’ve miscarried this week also at 7 weeks. I’ve had this week off work as was constantly going to and from EPU, testing etc as feats for ectopic. I won’t be returning next week as still recovering physically and more so mentally. Someone should be able to sort you a sick note if you feel you need. Everyone is different, put your health first!
