Post miscarriage pains - Really worried

Hi all,

I unfortunately suffered a miscarriage at just under 7 weeks in November. It was an awful experience and I passed the sac naturally with minimal assistance at an EPU. I took a pregnancy test 2 weeks later which was negative.

I had my 1st period since the loss on Xmas Eve for 4 days, which is usual for me albeit the bleeding was awfully heavy and ruined a lot of Xmas day.

I'm now in my ovulation window and have been ttc but have started to feel lots of sharp pains in my lower abdomen since my partner and I dtd. I'm really worried that something untoward is happening as I have never experienced ovulation cramping before.

Praying the EPU will scan me ASAP but wanted to see if anyone had experienced similar to help alleviate my worries.

Oh OP you poor thing, I’m so sorry for your loss. I think it’s understandable for your abdomen to feel tender even at this stage. Miscarriage involves contractions and opening of the cervix so it can be tender for some time. If you had a negative test that’s a good sign, and presumably you aren’t running a fever and you feel ok in yourself, which are also positive.
It’s understandable to feel anxious about these things. Do get checked out to make sure all is well and put your mind at ease.

Thank you for your reply and support. Really hoping all is okay. Absolutely dreading having a scan as I've convinced myself something is wrong.

I'm just so disappointed by it all. I no longer cry everyday but it's like something inside me is completely numb and broken. I know hubby and I can try again but I was looking forward to having a summer baby and a smaller age gap between my son etc. I guess it wasn't meant to be but I'm so very sad about it all.
