Rhesus negative MMC

Hello, so a bit of a back story. I had a chemical pregnancy back in July where I miscarried at just before 5 weeks. I’ve recently had a MMC found at 10 weeks and chose the medical management option. There’s so much controversial information about receiving an Anti-D injection. Should I have been offered this? I am based in South West England

Anti d often isn't offered if you were under 12 weeks pregnant

I was given anti D after my surgical management - I was 9 weeks pregnant - but the nurse on the surgical unit at the hospital was absolutely useless at explaining what she was giving me or what it was for, she couldn't actually explain it when I asked what it was! I looked it up afterwards and found this information quite useful: https://www.wwl.nhs.uk/media/.leaflets/60100da6f0aae3.51676942.pdf#:~:text=If%20you%20have%20unfortunately%20suffered,sensitised%20to%20Rhesus%20positive%20blood.

I have no idea why some people are offered it and others aren't though, it doesn't really make any sense to me.

I had a natural loss at 11 weeks and I checked with midwife about this, she said it’s not offered until a loss after 12 weeks.

Hi, I am rhesus negative and I was made to have it after both my MMC for which I chose surgery. One was diagnosed at 12 weeks, baby stopped growing at 8, one at 8 weeks, baby stopped growing at 6.5. I wasn’t really given the option to refuse it, but was told if I didn’t I would have issues in future pregnancies. I was also told that in case of successful pregnancy, I’d have to have one at around 18 weeks.

I would insist on anti D at ant stage. I say that as someone who was sensitised early. There's no harm in it - except for the painful injection!
