Recurrent loss between 4-5 weeks

Hi ladies, I’ve just lost my 3rd pregnancy in a row within the space of 4 months between the 4-5 week mark.
I really thought this time would be different as I was on 800mg progesterone per day from 3dpo but no, still miscarried at exactly the same time as the non progesterone cycles.

I’m wondering if anyone else has recurrent miscarriages between 4-5 weeks and what they’ve discovered the issue was?
I’ll phone the GP on Monday and see if I can get referred to the recurrent miscarriage clinic and hopefully still try in the meantime.

I’m just really disappointed in my body x

Hi just seeing where OP landed and how everyone else is getting on. I’m in the same boat- lost 3 in 6 months and now currently pregnant at about the time I lose them. Fingers crossed this one sticks. I was sent the reoccurring miscarriage clinic but bc I’m pregnant they couldn’t help me until I deliver or miscarry again.

Hey congrats on your pregnancy and fingers crossed for you! I went on to have 6 losses in total but after treatment with sitagliptin for low stem cells, I’m currently almost 19 weeks pregnant with a healthy pregnancy. It’s taken time but so grateful to be carrying this pregnancy 💕

That’s brilliant, huge congrats @LacedBouquet! where are you being treated and how did you find out you had low stem cells? I had my rainbow baby (after 5 losses) in August ❤️

Hi Everyone,
Not sure if this thread is monitored now but just wanted to say so sorry to hear this OP and to all the other stories.

I had 5 MCs before I had my son. I had all the tests on NHS recurrent miscarriage clinic and everything came back normal. I eventually got referred to Tommy's and under Professor Lesley Regan, they did further investigations. They found a uterine septum and removed it, and also a blood clotting disorder. So with the help of blood thinners from a positive pregnancy test, estrogen pills and progestogen.. I was able to stay pregnant.

Hope this helps someone as I know how hard it is to get no explanation for these early losses. Xx

Hi all, I don’t really write or sign up to things like this but I’ve just had my second miscarriage in 6 months. Obviously very down, as the second has only happened this week. I had my second set of bloods taking and HCG levels tested yesterday to confirm loss… (on my birthday of all days) HCG level 4, so baby has gone. Both pregnancies I was around 4-5 weeks pregnant. I’m just feeling like it’s my fault, when I know there’s not a lot I can do but it really does make you feel that way. I’m trying to be strong because I was a mess after the 1st miscarriage but it’s when I’m sat by myself I’m the worst because I’m trying to find a cause as to why this has happened again.

@Anonymous198441 I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I remember that feeling of hopelessness and like it will never happen for you. I remember been in the thick of it after my second of three losses and calling Tommys because I felt like I wasn’t getting anywhere with the GP, they really did help. They made me feel valued, that my losses did count and they talked me through next steps to get a referral to a miscarriage clinic. I recall walking up and down my living room on the phone to them trying to hold back the tears because someone was taking me seriously. When I spoke to my GP regarding a referral to a miscarriage clinic I specifically requested professor Quenby as I had heard great things about her. I never really got an answer for my losses, we just tried progesterone and we were lucky that it worked. Everyone is different but I found what helped me the most was really taking control of the situation, don’t take no for an answer from the GP if they are unwilling to support, every loss counts. I’m typing this out to you now whilst putting my little boy to bed. Please know that there is hope, and there are people that will help and listen.
