Recurrent miscarriages- is the advice I received correct?

Hi everyone :)
I'm hoping for some advice. I have experience two miscarriages in the past couple of years and am currently 5 weeks pregnant. I have been seeing an acupuncturist leading up to this pregnancy. Last week during my treatment the acupuncturist said the following:

"If this pregnancy doesn't workout, you should go on contraception for 3 months to give your uterus a break. Otherwise there is a risk the recurrent miscarriages will trigger endometriosis and will cause your immune system to attack future embryos".

Is this true? Or has anyone heard something similar? It absolutely devastated me as I was feeling at peace that if this one doesn't work out, that at least I would start getting some support from the medical system for recurrent miscarriages. However now I'm really scared that it may cause even more miscarriages in the future.

If anyone has any thoughts I would be very grateful.

No, that's bullshit in terms of the attack stuff. But yes, it can be wise and can be recommended to take a break for a few months. Good luck with this pregnancy!

I’ve never ever heard that and I’ve done loads of research into recurrent mc. I had 3 mc and then got pregnant just at the start of the pandemic (only a couple of months after previous mc). With that pregnancy I took 150mg aspirin per day which I hadn’t with the previous 3 and it all worked out. I’ll never know 100% it was the aspirin but I do believe it was.

@Galeforce I've never heard that and I'm sorry she said something that stressed you even more. The best book on reproductive immunology is called Is Your Body Baby Friendly by Dr Beers who was the lead thinker. That will contain the information you need.

But hopefully this will work out for you and it won't be needed. Congratulations on your pregnancy.

Thank you all so much for your replies. I've decided to stop seeing that practitioner as I can't trust her anymore. @Janefx40 I will look into that book, thank you for the suggestion.
