Hello all,

long time lurker, first time poster … I will try my best not to drip feed! 🤣

I have a little boy just over 2years.

TTC for our second, and had a missed miscarriage found out on the 7th March had surgical removal 9th of March.

I had a very light period (normally quite heavy) 15/16th of April. Weird but thought everything is just out of whack.

The whole thing really affected my mood, sleep, irrational generally really low and really hung up on the ‘age gap’ as if all had worked out it would have been 2.5 years which felt good for our family.

Started tracking my ovulation this cycle, with the clear blue. Had the flashing smile for last 3 days, felt super excited, hopeful about getting back to normal … just about trying again … woke up this morning and Im cramping and bleeding?! It has floored me. More than spotting but not heavy as a period at the moment. I’m so confused and absolutely gutted again. What is it? A cyst, my period, ovulation bleeding.

Prior to experiencing this myself I never knew about the aftermath of miscarriage, it’s devastating.

I don’t know what I expect from this post, any assurances / similar experiences / would you get checked out?

Thank you

Ps yes I am in soft play now, my husband is with the little one, don’t fret !!

So sorry about your miscarriage, they do suck. It can take awhile for your body to get back to normal afterwards, always took me a good few months for sure. Which I know can be disappointing when you’re wanting to get back on it. Doesn’t mean you can’t still keep trying in the gaps.
Try not to feel disappointed about the age gap, we wanted a fairly small one too and ended up with 5 years, there’s been lots of positives! I’d book in with your GP, might help to just chat things through in terms of your cycle and any advice, the last thing you want to be is stressed about things and having a medical professionals ear might help.
