Hi, I hope someone can help.
I’m currently 11 weeks pregnant and found out 2 weeks ago that I have miscarried at 6+3. This is my first pregnancy and i’m 28 years old. I am booked in for the medical management in hospital in 2 days and I’m frightened reading other peoples stories/ experiences. Is it really that bad?!? Will I be able to do something like read to keep myself distracted or will the pain and bleeding be too much for me to do that? I’m really anxious and can’t stop crying and i’m worried it’s going to be really difficult.
So far i’m having back spasms since the last 2 days had a tiny bit of bleeding but thats it, the back spasms are unbearable so it’s making me even more scared for whats yet to come. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

Hi OP, I hope you are feeling okay. I recently had a miscarriage at a similar time as you, but mine was natural at 12 weeks but baby stopped growing at 6+1. I am only 22 years old and it was also my first pregnancy so we are quite similar ☹️It might not be the same as medical management, but from my experience of natural miscarriage I had no pain whatsoever, it was a bit surreal if I’m honest. I passed several clots the size of my hand so don’t be alarmed if this happens to you. However, if you start bleeding lots and fill a heavy pad very quickly, please seek help asap. I bled for 6 hours very heavily (filling a pad the moment I stood up off the toilet, so in the end I sat on the toilet for this entire time!) but didn’t seek help until I almost passed out and I wish I had got help sooner. I ended up with an ambulance at my house and going to a&e. I also had extreme back pain during the whole experience.

this might not be of much help, but please remember you are not alone ❤️ please make sure you have a follow up scan if you don’t think you passed the sac, as unfortunately I hadn’t and had to have surgical management ❤️

Can’t you ask for the surgical management? I had that at nearly 12 weeks. It was very straightforward in the physical sense. No pain and not much bleeding
