So I have a medical miscarriage on the 16th Dec, Ive stopped bleeding fully and pretty much testing negative now. I took an ovulation test tonight and it's nearly positive, we want to try right away however my last period was in October and i still haven't had my first period yet. How would we work out due dates and things without my last period date? I'm obviously tracking ovulation so can we go by that?

I would go by the date of your MC, however if you track ovulation you won't need to really worry about LMP. You can just adjust your dates according to that 😊 xx

(Another way is to add 14 days to your ovulation date for a rough last period start date to give the midwives) x

Thank you for replying! Okay great thank you! Is that adding 14 days to ovulation going backwards from the day of ovulation? x

Yeah, they just base your due date from the start of your last period as a cycle is roughly 28 days (in theory). As most women don't track their ovulation this is the easiest way to work out a rough ovulation at 14 days.
So for example say you ovulated 14th Jan, I'd put 1st Jan as the first day of your last period. Obviously then just tell them in person your actual ovulation date and specific circumstances. (They just need a rough date to work out scans and bloods etc) xx

Some due date trackers have the option to select ovulation date now anyway xx
