Missed miscarriage/surgical management

Hello
Just looking for some experiences/advise please.
I found out last week (mon 4th July) that I had a missed miscarriage (twins)
I went back for a viability scan yesterday (thurs 14th July). Basically one twin had passed naturally but the other is clinging on.
I opted for surgical miscarriage management (personal choice I thought would be better for me) and have been booked in for Sunday morning.
Anyway, this morning I’ve had more bleeding than any previous days and I’m unsure what I’m to do from here - if it passes naturally do I cancel my appointment for Sunday or do I go in for them to check it’s all passed? Has anyone had experience with this and wouldn’t mind sharing how it went for you.
Thanks so much ❤️

Really sorry it happened to you. I had a vacuum aspiration with a gentle curettage last week (2nd missed msc within a year). First one was natural with no complications. I was waiting for over 2 months for things to happen naturally but bleeding started and then just stopped and never restarted. Then i had 3!!! Rounds of failed medical management (misoprostol) and at the end i just wanted it over. I also asked the anaesthetist to tailor my sedation to allow me to be awake as i did not want to go under GA. He was just amazing and did exactly that. I still have some bleeding but at least i can now look forward and hopefully try again. I do hope things went well for you and you got a good level of care.

@Citygirl09 I’m so sorry you’ve had to go through that twice, sending lots of love.
I rang the hospital about the bleeding I had the day before the surgery which they advised me to go in, so I went in waited 4 hours just to find out one of the babies was very stubborn and was clinging on so I still had to go back in the day after for the surgery. The surgery went great though and the care before & after was amazing, I couldn’t of asked for better even considering the circumstances.
I recovered quite quickly on the day but I now think I put too much pressure on my self to get my self moving etc so I could get home as the pain the past few days has been agonising, at it’s worst I’m struggling to walk, hoping it’ll settle today if not I will contact the ward to see what they recommend.
Baby dust for the future, lovely :) x

So happy to hear it went well. Pain will subside eventually, but good to check with them in any case. I literally had the same - went back to work within 1.5 days, did shopping etc, i guess i needed to feel 'normal' again. Fingers crossed next time lucky!
