Hi, I'm just looking for others people experiences when they've had the methotrexate injection. What were your HCG levels and how long did it take them to reach below 5?
I've had a real struggle deciding which method to take. The injection or the surgery.
My levels are 3651 and I'm currently sat waiting for the injection now and still don't know if I'm making the right decision.
If the tube is damaged I want it gone. But I don't want to risk losing a healthy tube if they do the surgery 😥😥
Last cycle ended in chemical and now this Sad😭
I'm starting to think there's something wrong with me as I have had 3 children no problems.

I had this dilemma but I had already lost 1 tube. I chose to try the injection 1st and if it didn’t work have the surgery. I only chose this because I already lost one tube to an ectopic (the 1st ruptured before I knew it was ectopic) and so would never have children naturally if I lost it. It didn’t work and I chose the surgery - it was explained to me that the chances of another ectopic in a tube that had previously had one was really high (maybe more to do with my history) due to scar tissue. I really couldn’t face the risk of going through it again. Conception rates with 1 tube are still good but you must do what you feel is best for you x

Hi I have just seen this thread and so sorry you are going through this.
I had it myself and didn't know which method to go with. This was just on hogmanay so it's still all fresh for me.
I went down the route of surgery. I just felt it drew a line under it and allowed me to move on quicker. It was lucky I did as there was already some bleeding from the tube so unfortunately I lost my left tube.
I hope you doing ok now. Feel free to chat x

Hi, I'm sorry you had to go threw that, unfortunately I had removal of my left tube yesterday as I ruptured and had 1.5 litres of blood sat in my pelvis. I am glad it's over and glad to be out of pain. But I am really scared for my future fertility as before the ectopic I had a chemical 😭😭

I'm sorry to hear that. Its so horrible to go through. I dont know about you but no one I know has been through this so its really hard. Hope you recover well. I have heard the remaining tube can move between ovaries so might still give some chances. I've also had a chemical.
If you are looking for a really supportive group on here, all ttc and some have had losses and ectopics etc so they're all lovely and really active to chat and support. Here's the link if you wanted to pop on. If not also feel free to chat away.
