Hi everyone,

I had an erpc on december the 3rd, I bled for about a week after and feel absolutely fine health wise now (apart from maybe a bit run down) but it was a much easier process than my first miscarriage which was natural.

So i have had a miscarriage in 2017.. then my son in 2020.. then this most recent miscarriage. My son was also a twin so we had an empty sac with him.

The reason I am posting is because I obviously dont want to go through this again.. nobody does! But is there anything I can do to help, any vitamins? I just bought pregnacare.

The hospital said its most like chromosome abnormalities because its usually a missed miscarriage with me and I dont bleed easily, so progesterone wouldnt help me.

Is anyone near London and seen a private doctor? Im based in Essex.. nhs wont help me as I have technically had 3 in a row. I am so keen to try again but scared.

If anyone has experience, is it better to wait a cycle or longer than this? I was thinking of trying again in Jan/Feb have at least 1 period first.

Hi @Hayley220, I'm in a similar position, miscarried on the 15th Dec and terrified of it happening again so have been researching vitamins etc. A lot of people recommend the book 'it starts with the egg' as a good resource for this kind of thing as a lot of miscarriages are thought to be due to chromosome issues. I'm older now so I thought maybe I should try to be healthier for better quality eggs. There is a website related to the book where the author lists recommended supplements. I'm not going to take them all as they are pricey but CoQ10 and natural folate alongside vitamin D seems a good start. Worth a look I think. I also found a supplement on amazon called Ovum which is pricey but looks like it would have everything the author recommends in so less rattling. So sorry for your loss Flowers x

Also sorry no experience with private doctors but have read plenty of posts on here and in fertility where others have if you do a search. From what I've read 3 months of supplements and lifestyle changes is ideal to have an effect on producing quality eggs but depends how keen you are, I'm sure even a month or two of being healthier makes a difference. I'm not sure I have the patience to wait ttc, but equallt I'm still not sure what I'm going to do, but if you do have the patience I'm sure it helps mentally to put yourself first for a bit and take time to get healthier, gives back some sense of control xxx

Progesterone and low dose aspirin, aspirin you can put yourself on but I would seek medical advise.

I've had 3 miscarriages but healthy children in between. No real reason for the miscarriages either. But I found focusing on being healthy and lifestyle was a good distraction and made me feel more positive.

Good luck, loss is so hard to go through.
