Early miscarriage and time off work

I'm on day 2 of a miscarriage at 6 weeks.

I took today and tomorrow off, but I don't know what's 'done' after that. I'm a nurse in a very busy and challenging ward and know rationally that I could/should take longer, but I feel really guilty for the time off. I could WFH but would find it less stressful to go in.

I'm very sorry for your loss Thanks
I was signed off for 2 weeks, I was due a review for another note towards the end but decided I wanted to go back.
I also felt bad but I'm am so glad I took the time off. I needed that time to get my head together.
You need time to process things, take care of yourself.

When I had my first one I had about 3 weeks off. 2nd was a chemical so wasn't as bad. 3rd I had 2mnths off as it was bad. I think you should take some time off to process everything.

Take the time now as your manager /employer won't want you to end up taking longer time off in the future if you think later on that you should have had it off earlier. So sorry xxx Flowers

So sorry for your news, take as long as you need.
I’m currently still off, I’ve been off three weeks and I’m only just starting to feel like I can manage a full day without breaking down or being super stressed over nothing and then breaking down.

You’ll know when is the right time for yourself but don’t rush yourself back if you can.

I am so sorry.

I learnt I had a missed miscarriage at 11.5 weeks. I took a week and a half off. Was very
Depressed for about three months. Wish I had taken longer. It's not just the physical side it's also the emotional recovery.

Earlier this year I had an ectopic pregnancy and I had two weeks after the surgery. Was still in pain after but felt emotionally ready to return to work. And I have been okay since.

I am also a nurse and only took 2 days off including the day of surgery for a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks which was not really enough in hindsight but I just didn't want people asking why I'd been off etc. This was definately not enough time to process it all and it seems ridiculous looking back so take as much time as you need.

I’ve had three weeks off, the first while waiting to find out if it was a miscarriage, the second week was actively miscarrying, and the third week has been to emotionally recover. Take the time you need, it’s hard both physically and mentally.

I had 2 weeks off each time for my MMC at 9 weeks. From finding out was 5-7 days till the surgery then 7 days after the surgery.
If it happens again I will need longer.
After the first I just wanted to be back at work, after the second I didn't want to go back but made myself as I didn't think it would get any easier waiting longer. Sorry you are going through this. From my experience the hardest part is after the miscarriage is over. Take care of yourself x

I am also a nurse and had at least 2 weeks off maybe 3. The physical side of things were over after 3-4 days but after that my hormones dropped and I basically had the baby blues and felt overwhelmingly emotional and tearful. You need more time off than 2 days
