Molar Pregnancy? Advice Needed

Hi, i recently had a missed miscarriage and found out a few days ago it was a 'partial molar pregnancy'. Im being referred to sheffield for further care and have got a scan tomorrow at the early pregnancy unit as pregnancy tests are still showing a faint positive (3 weeks after MVA procedure). Has anyone been through this before? or know anything about it?
thanks in advance x

Firstly I'm so so sorry for your loss

Yes I had one at 12 weeks ok so I was referred to charring cross they were Brillant - they explain everything.

I know it's of limited reassurance but a partial molar is infinitely better than a full molar which entails chemo and not ttc for 3 years I believe.

For a partial molar. They will send you out tests to check your hormones are dropping. You cannot ttc for three months or your at risk of cancer as pregnancy hormone speeds up this type of cancer. If hormones reach 0 your clear to go again.

Did you have a dc or NC progressed naturally ? They usually say for a molar a DC is the treatment of spotted in the uterus , mine was picked up after I sent the baby away for testing after the baby had passed. I had no idea what a molar pregnancy was. God though the morning sickness was something else (v typical of a molar pregnancy) something you would think they would have picked up on.

Also if they have done testing- they may give you on paper what chromosomes were wrong, on that paper it will also tell you the sex on the baby (I don't tell you this to scare you or upset you) I warn you this may happen because I didn't realise what had been put in front of me when I opened the letter on a bus then sobbed the whole way home.

Be gentle with yourself please xxxx

Hi, im very sorry for the late reply. Life just got in the way. Thank you so much for the response, it was a partial molar pregnancy and I got referred to Sheffield. After sending my first urine sample off they rang me a few days later and said it was very low and they have requested me a blood test. If thats comes back fine then im good to go and try again. I think i got lucky because googling peoples stories and some people have had to wait 3 months or more. It was all such a blurr but everyone has been so amazing. They didnt mention anything about a gender, just said it was very early on and although it had a heartbeat it was never going to turn into a baby. Im feeling more positive and looking into the future now, thanks once again for the support❤️
